Hello Carpenter Cousins!

Confusion has recently been discovered of members using the matches tab instead of the advanced matches option.

We have found out that some previous matches are disappearing that once were seen using the basic matches tab. The reason for this is the matches tab matches only the last 1,000 matches. For people looking at the new matches months or years later, it could appear that previous matches have disappeared.

Please use the advanced matching option when looking for matches within the Carpenter Cousins Project or matching to the entire FTDNA data base.

If you have any questions, or need any help, please let me know.

PS Do not forget the FTDNA personal results page option under preferences can limit new match notification to just members of the Carpenter Cousins Project.
